DDI Data Description Statistics Protection Software

Owner:
admin
Description:

It is a tool which enables easy anonymization processes of DDI standard univariate statistics. It was developed primarily to address the issue of statistical disclosure control for single variable aggregated data, publically distributed to particularly provide information to scientific researchers to promote detailed official statistics microdata use for scientific purposes. It enables quick and easy automatic data protection by performing data protection methods such as bracketing, top- and bottom-coding, variable (information) removal, numeric descriptive statistics protection and low frequency protection following the minimum frequency rule. In contrast to existing microdata and aggregated data anonymization tools, the developed software protects aggregated data directly in the XML code.

Import Stata to Excel: Colectica for Excel allows direct importing and documenting of Stata data files, with a file extension .dta. The variable names, labels and code lists in the Stata file will also be imported and added to the stored documentation automatically. Import SPSS to Excel: Colectica for Excel allows direct importing and documenting of SPSS data files, with a file extension .sav. The variable names, labels and code lists in the SPSS file will also be imported and added to the stored documentation automatically. Nesstar Publisher

Owner:
mcneillh
Description:

Nesstar Publisher is an advanced data management program. It consists of data and metadata conversion and editing tools, enabling the user to prepare these materials for publication and make such resources available to a wider audience. The program allows users to enhance datasets by combining a wide range of catalog and contextual information. Users are given, for example, complete control over the structure of the metadata within internationally recognized data documentation schema, including inserting Web links and URLs that can be viewed within the Nesstar Web client. Nesstar Publisher also allows merging of DDI documents containing markup for different sections of the DDI for the same study. This is especially useful for merging in variable description information generated from SPSS/SAS data definition statements or export files with study descriptions and question text.
