Funding Opportunity: EDDI Hackathon 2026 Qualitative Metadata Challenge

Dear Colleagues,

The Qualitative Data Working Group (QDWG) of the DDI Alliance is pleased to announce a funded participation opportunity for the EDDI 2026 Hackathon on 3-4 December 2026 in Brussels.

The QDWG is seeking 2 to 3 candidates to attend the Hackathon associated with the 18th European DDI Users Conference, Brussels (EDDI 2026), where you will explore using DDI Codebook (DDI-C) to describe qualitative or mixed-methods data from selected research studies.

This initiative aims to engage qualitative data metadata managers with DDI products and gather actionable feedback to advance the DDI standards for documenting qualitative data.

A total maximum budget of $2,000 will be dedicated to help cover accommodation and travel expenses during the Hackathon days for the 2 or 3 selected participants.

You can find more details and information on how to apply here or in the attached file.

Application deadline: September 15

The results of the selection process will be announced in late September.

For questions regarding this call, please contact ddi-qdwg@googlegroups.com

Best wishes,

Noemi
