DDI Annual Meeting Recordings and Materials Now Available
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the recent virtual Annual Meeting of Members! If you missed the live session or want to revisit the discussion, the recording is now available on YouTube, and presentation materials are archived on Zenodo. The meeting included updates on DDI organizational activities, finances, and strategic planning. Key topics of discussion included expanding global membership and engagement, active projects and working groups, new revenue streams to support the Alliance's activities, budget planning, improvements to the DDI website, and long-term sustainability.
Materials from the May virtual Annual Meeting of the Scientific Community are also available on YouTube, with corresponding presentation materials archived on Zenodo. This meeting covered: Scientific Board and Executive Board reports; Technical Committee highlights; working group updates (DDI-CDI WG, Training WG, Questions and Questionnaires WG); website improvements; Hackathon plans for EDDI 2025; a proposed new Qualitative WG; collaboration with W3C; and an update on ISO certification. The meeting concluded with community discussions on two forward-looking topics: DDI API (preparation of a distributed DDI metadata network) and integrating DDI with statistical packages, especially the open source languages R and Python.
We invite you to explore the materials and stay engaged with our growing community.
