Annotation
Coded values specifying time zones as an offset from Greenwich Meridian Time. For example, United States Eastern Standard Time is -5.00. Supports the use of an external controlled vocabulary. DDI strongly recommends the use of the time offset tied to a controlled vocabulary. If any other method is used, the use of a controlled vocabulary will facilitate interoperability. The DDI Alliance has provided a controlled vocabulary (TimeZone) to support this element at http://www.ddialliance.org/controlled-vocabularies.
