Just bringing to your attention the upcoming UNECE Workshop on Supporting Standards to be held in Wiesbaden, Germany, on May 26 to 28.

UNECE Workshop on Supporting Standards - The role of standards and architectures to ensure successful business transformations in times of disruptive change

Many national statistical offices and other organizations that produce or exchange statistical data are encountering disruptive changes to their operating environment leading to rapid and substantial transformation of the way they conduct their business. These disruptions include the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the drive towards multi-source statistics, as well as funding and policy changes.

In this context, standards (e.g. DDI, SDMX, DCAT, SKOS) together with architectures and models (e.g. GSBPM, GSIM) are essential for business transformations to achieve their goals, while ensuring quality, transparency and repeatability of statistical products and services.

The workshop will tackle problems related to AI and multi-source statistics from the angle of standards and architectures. In particular:

· Data and metadata Management for AI and Multi-source Statistics

· Agile Process and Quality Management

· Architectures

· AI for Standards & Standards for AI

(We might have space to squeeze in one more presentation about the intersection between AI and metadata standards, if you have something to contribute, e.g. use of standard models to guide AI agents, or standards such as Croissant ML to provide data to AI agents.)
