We are pleased to share that the **“Introduction to the Data Documentation Initiative (DDI)”** webinar, presented by Chifundo Kanjala and Jared Lyle for the IASSIST Africa Region on March 26, 2026, is now available on the DDI Alliance YouTube channel.

The session provides a practical, accessible introduction to DDI for librarians, data professionals, and researchers who are new to the standard. It covers the role of metadata in supporting data discovery and reuse, introduces the DDI family of standards, and highlights approaches for adoption across different organizational contexts.
