Associate Memberships

The DDI Alliance welcomes the participation of national statistical agencies, organizations, and offices in the development of the DDI standard for social science documentation. To that end, the Alliance offers a category of membership that does not require a membership fee (many statistical offices cannot support such fees) and does not carry voting rights. The Alliance Steering Committee and Director issue invitations to potential Associate Members, but organizations eligible for this membership category may contact the Alliance indicating their interest in membership. Each Associate Member appoints a senior officer of the organization to sit on the DDI Alliance Expert Committee "with voice, but without vote." Staff members from these partner organizations are encouraged to take part in Alliance working groups.
